Village Doctor
A person who treats the poor villagers is a village doctor. He is a familiar and prominent figure in the village. A village doctor gives treatment to the village patients. He has a great demand in the village. He is generally a quack. He does not know much about medicine. He works with a qualified doctor for a few years and receives training under him. Then he s ets up a dispensary in his own village. He opens his dispensary early in the morning. He examines the patients in his own di spensary and supplies them with medicine.
He stands by the villagers in times of danger. He goes out on a visit on private calls. He is an important man in the village. He has got a high position in the rural society as he pays the villagers a helpful service at any time. He is locally respected much. He treats his patients with a nominal fee from the patients. He does not mind if any one does not pay him .He is somewhat responsible for the health condition of the villagers. There fore, he should be trained more practically by the government for the better treatment of the villagers.

যে ব্যক্তি দরিদ্র গ্রামবাসীর চিকিৎসা সেবা প্রদান করে থাকে সে হ’ল গ্রামের চিকিৎসক। তিনি গ্রামের পরিচিত ও বিশিষ্ট ব্যক্তি। একজন গ্রাম্য চিকিৎসক গ্রামের রোগীদের চিকিৎসা দিয়ে থাকেন। গ্রামে তাঁর প্রচুর চাহিদা রয়েছে। গ্রাম ডাক্তার সাধারণত একজন হাতুড়ে চিকিৎসক। ওষুধ সম্পর্কে সে বেশি কিছু জানে না। তিনি কয়েক বছর ধরে একজন যোগ্যতাসম্পন্ন ডাক্তারের সাথে কাজ করেন এবং তার অধীনে প্রশিক্ষণ পান। তারপরে সে তার নিজের গ্রামে একটি ডিসপেনসারি খোলেন। তিনি খুব সকালে তার ডিসপেনসারি খুলেন। তিনি তার নিজস্ব ডিস্পেনসরিতে রোগীদের পরীক্ষা করেন এবং তাদের ওষুধ সরবরাহ করেন।
বিপদের সময় তিনি গ্রামবাসীর পাশে দাঁড়ান। তিনি রোগীর বাড়িতে গিয়ে রোগী দেখে থাকেন। তিনি গ্রামের গুরুত্বপূর্ণ মানুষ। যে কোনও সময় তিনি গ্রামবাসীদের সহায়ক পরিষেবা প্রদান করার কারণে তিনি পল্লী সমাজে একটি উচ্চ পদ পেয়েছেন। স্থানীয়ভাবে তাকে অনেক শ্রদ্ধা করা হয়। তিনি রোগীদের কাছ থেকে নামমাত্র ফি নিয়ে রোগীদের চিকিৎসা করেন। কেউ তাকে টাকা না দিলেও সে আপত্তি করে না। গ্রামবাসীর স্বাস্থ্যের জন্য তিনি কিছুটা দায়বদ্ধ। সরকারের উচিত গ্রামবাসীদের উন্নত চিকিৎসা সেবা প্রদানের জন্য তাদের ব্যবহারিকভাবে প্রশিক্ষণ দেওয়া ।
